Tuesday, October 02, 2012.
BELGRADE, October 2, 2012 - Upon public consultation procedure, in line with the Energy Law and the commitments of our country arising from the Treaty establishing the Energy Community, new methodologies and rules adopted by the Energy Agency were published in the “Official Gazette of RS”, No. 93/12 and entered into force.
These methodologies regulate the manner for setting prices of access to i.e. use of electricity and natural gas transmission systems and of oil and oil derivatives transport systems. Methodologies for setting prices of electricity and natural gas public supply and the Rules on Electricity and Natural Gas Supplier Change also entered into force.
New methodologies aim at the establishment of a common regulatory framework which enables the use of transmission, i.e. transport systems in a transparent and non-discriminatory way. These methodologies, besides the methodologies for setting electricity, i.e. natural gas public supply prices, define the conditions and manner of setting maximum revenue level of energy entities performing these activities, the criteria and rules for the allocation of the revenue, elements for calculation and manner of transmission i.e. transport service invoicing.
The Rules on Electricity and Natural Gas Supplier Change aim at organizing a real market game among suppliers and they are expected to provide final energy customer supply under the most favourable conditions. The Rules will become applicable on January 1, 2013.
The texts of methodologies and Rules are available at the Agency’s website www.aers.rs in the section Price Regulation, i.e. Energy Market.
