15 MORE ENERGY LICENSES ...
BELGRADE, 2 March - This week the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia approved the issue of 15 more energy licenses to companies that met the stipulated requirements. Since June last year 205 licenses have been issued granting energy enteties the right to operate on the domestic energy market.
Energy licenses for natural gas distribution, for natural gas distribution system operation and for natural gas retail to tariff customers were issued to “Stankom gas” Belgrade and “KOVIN-GAS” Kovin.
The licenses for natural gas trade on the open market were issued to EGAL METRING from Belgrade and “CONSULT 2000" from Zrenjanin.
The Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia approved the issue of licenses for oil and oil derivates trade to five more energy entities and two entities were granted licenses for oil derivates retail.
The issuing of licenses is one of the activities entrusted by the Energy Law to the Energy Agency, which is an operationally independent regulatory body on the national energy market.
The Law also stipulates that the Agency can revoke a license from an entity, either temporarily or permanently, even before the expiration of the ten year period for which the license is issued if that entity does not comply with the stated terms.
