SOUTH EAST EUROPEAN COORDINATED AUCTION OFFICE PROJECT TEAM COMPANY ESTABLISHED
Wednesday, June 13, 2012.
On Wednesday, the contract on the establishment of the Project Team Company of the South East European Coordinated Auction Ofice (SEE CAO) was signed by electricity transmission system operators from the region.
In the course of the following year, located in Podgorica, the Company will prepare the establishment of SEE CAO. Its mission is to harmonise congestion management methods and optimise cross-border capacity allocation. Among other things, it includes the preparation of capacity allocation rules and auction revenue allocation procedures.
In his video message to the participants of the signatory ceremony in Bečići, the EU Commissioner for Energy, Günther Oettinger, stated that the SEE CAO represents an integration instrument and that it will allow electricity to be transmitted with more ease and with less bureaucracy within the region.
Slavcho Neykov, the Director of the Energy Community Secretariat, stated that this initial step towards regional approach to capacity allocation and congestion management would contribute to the enforcement of regional integration and boosting investors’ trust.
