Information code

The activities of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia (AERS) are stipulated by the Energy Law (Articles 10 and 15), as well as the the authorisation of AERS to request data and documents from energy entities, which are necessary for performing its activities (Article 16.).An Information Code, namely a set of tables to be filled-in by the energy entities has been developed in order to collect part of the needed data on energy entities related to performing their energy activities. The Information Code defines data and documentation needed for:

  • giving an opinion of AERS in the process of determining regulated prices, in compliance with the Energy Law (prices for the access and use of electricity transmission, electricity distribution, natural gas transportation and natural gas distribution systems, system for oil transportation via oil pipelines and oil derivatives via product pipelines, electricity and natural gas prices for tariff customers)
  • monitoring data on energy entities related to performing their energy activities.
The Information Code defines formats and time frames for submission of data to AERS.

AERS: Transportgas Serbia Meets Conditions for Certification as an Independent System Operator

Belgrade, 31 March 2026

On the session held on 31 March 2026, the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has adopted a conclusion confirming that TRANSPORTGAS SRBIJA d.o.o. Novi Sad has fulfilled the requirements for the legal and functional unbundling of ownership of the natural gas transmission network, thereby meeting the prescribed conditions for certification under the independent system operator model.

On the session held on February 5, 2026, the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has adopted a decision on the adoption of the text of the opinion on the method of procurement of non-frequency ancillary services which has been adopted upon a notification of the Joint Stock Company “Elektromreža Srbije”, Beograd.  


AERS: Methodology for Setting Prices of Non-Frequency Ancillary Services Adopted

On the session held on January 29, 2026, the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has adopted Methodology for Setting Prices of Non-Frequency Ancillary Services. The Methodology has entered into force on the day following the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia (“Official Gazette of RS”, No. 11/26). 


AERS: EMS Granted Exemption and Approval to Apply an Alternative Form of Procuring Balancing Capacity on Market Principles

On the session held on December 28, 2025, upon the request of the transmission system operator, the joint-stock company “Elektromreža Srbije” Belgrade, the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has adopted a decision granting an exemption and application of another form of procuring balancing capacity based on market principles.
