NEW METHODOLOGIES FOR SETTING PRICE OF ELECTRICITY AND NATURAL GAS TRANSMISSION AND OIL AND OIL DERIVATIVES TRANSPORT
Tuesday, July 31, 2012.
The Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia made drafts of new methodologies regulating the manner of establishment of the price of access to, i.e. use of the electricity and natural gas transmission system and oil and oil derivatives transport system. The drafts were submitted for public consultations.
These methodologies, drafted in line with the new Energy Law, set conditions and manner for the establishment of the maximum revenue of the transmission, i.e. transport system operators, criteria and rules for the allocation of the revenue, elements for calculation and manner of calculation of transmission, i.e. transport service. Agency can also demand a price change, so as customers could be protected in cases when the operator’s costs are reduced.
The new methodologies replace the former methodologies and tariff systems. Relevant provisions of former EU directives and to some extent of new ones were fully transposed in the local legislation. Thereby, further energy market development is enabled and involvement in the regional and European energy market is encouraged.
Methodologies drafts are available on the Agency website www.aers.org.rs, section Public consultations.
