PRICE REGULATION – NEW ENERGY AGENCY DOCUMENT
Thursday, October 04, 2012.
Since the new Methodology for Setting Electricity Public Supply Price was adopted and entered into force as of October 1, 2012, the Methodology for Setting Electricity Price for Tariff Customers and the Tariff System for Calculation of Electricity for Tariff Customers, both adopted pursuant to the 2004 Energy Law, ceased to be valid.
The new Methodology introduced only crucial adjustments arising directly from the 2011 Energy Law, so as the continuity of regulation in this field could be provided, without making any changes in the structure and ratio between tariff elements and tariffs. However, there is still ongoing analysis of possible different solutions in regulation of public supply prices (as opposed to those in the tariff system valid up to now), which would contribute to a more efficient use of the power system with equal treatment of all customers eligible for regulated prices.
This task is partly connected to the adoption of bylaws which are currently being drafted and to the activities under the jurisdiction of the Government, in terms of supply conditions and public supply conditions. It would be rational to perform these activities in parallel and in harmony.
